London Wedding Photographers
The Diversity of the Wedding Venue
As a professional photographer, I have had the good fortune to photograph at many London wedding venues.
From the history-steeped St Brides Church off Fleet Street to Lord’s Cricket Ground, Dulwich College to Peckham’s Asylum Chapel and many other venues, wedding venues come in all shapes and sizes.
There are the intimate, short register office weddings, the beautiful but very expensive castle and in-between are the hotels, pubs, churches and stately homes. What I love most about being a wedding photographer is the diversity of both the venues and the people attending.
I have gone from photographing a civil partnership on the London Eye one week to attending a marriage reception at a girls’ boarding school the next.
My Favourite Kind of London Wedding Venue?

I enjoy the intimacy of the register office and the medieval grandeur of Gothic churches. With churches and older venues, there’s a lot of symmetry which I can use to add interest.
But with hotels and the more modern places, there are often mirrors, furnishings, gardens and more vibrant colours with which to utilise for the wedding photographs.
As well as London, I often venture further afield into the south-east and home counties too. I list above some of my favourite wedding venues in London and the south-east with a few choice photographs to illustrate why…
