Lots of Natural Shots Showing Fun and Sweet Moments...
We are so pleased that we chose Guy as the photographer for our wedding. The photos are exactly what we wanted - a great mix of lovely photos of the two of us throughout the day, nice group pictures and lots of natural shots showing really fun and sweet moments.
He is very familiar with Old Marylebone Town Hall (our wedding venue) and really helped us make the most of photo opportunities there. He’s lovely to work with and made the whole process feel very streamlined and easy. He even went above and beyond to help coordinate our guests and the registry office on the day which we very much appreciated!
The quality and variety of the photos he produced are excellent. Looking through them we really felt that he captured the spirit of our day.

So Lovely to Have Around on Our Wedding Day...
I cannot describe how wonderful our experience with Guy was from start to finish.
The photographs from our wedding at Morden Park House are stunning - from the classic posed shots to more candid, fun moments captured when we weren't looking - and we will treasure them forever.
But quite apart from that, he was SO lovely to have around on our wedding day (which had only 15 family members present) and felt like one of the family by the end of it.
He always answered all our queries prior to the wedding promptly, and kindly, and was an absolute joy to work with.

Lovely Memories that we will Always Cherish...
We asked Guy to be our wedding photographer for our small family wedding at The Celtic Manor. From when we booked him until after we received the final photographs he was great.
We asked him to photograph before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for group shots after. He was relaxed, professional and made everyone feel at ease.
We didn’t have to wait long for the final images and when we received them we couldn’t believe how stunning they were. We’ve shown them to family and friends who all loved them.

Guy was responsive throughout since I reached out! He was excellent on our wedding day and everyone commented on how nice he was!
The pictures turned out fantastic and we were impressed at how well he got the group together for pictures despite not having informed our guests beforehand.

Brings Us Back to Our Special Day with Joy...
Wow! Where should I start?? We really couldn’t be more pleased with Guy’s work. We were looking for a photographer who was willing to cover our very small event – but would treat it as if was the most important thing he did – and we found that in Guy.
We chose him initially because we had seen some beautiful photos of the wonderful Fitzrovia Chapel, our venue, on his website. He was also clearly experienced at covering small events and had worked quite a bit with second timers like us. It proved to be a great choice.
From beginning to end Guy was exceptionally easy to work with. He took the time to understand our needs in detail and put together a short wedding package of a few hours that met our needs perfectly.
On the day Guy was not only personable, professional, and efficient – but also very helpful and kind to my wife who is shy in front of the camera. Even though we had a tiny wedding he was unobtrusive and took a superb series of photos without making us feel uncomfortable or posed.
He clearly has a keen eye for his craft and displayed his unique ability to capture those special moments that made the day unforgettable. From the moment we approached the Chapel, throughout the service, and until the moment we departed, Guy captured it all beautifully.

Could Not Have Asked for More...
We worked with Guy for our micro-wedding in October 2020 at the Chelsea Old Town Hall after finding him listed as a top wedding photographer on the Chelsea Old Town Hall website.
We had researched a few wedding photographers before settling with Guy and this was largely because of his photography style and responsiveness. After some rapid-fire communications on style and cost, we decided to go with him within the day!
As people who are terrible with posed shots, we let him know that we wanted to capture the dynamism of getting married in London rather than focusing on staid group shots of the wedding party. Also, because of COVID-19 restrictions at the Chelsea Old Town Hall, we thought that we would have to forfeit having a wedding photographer in the Town Hall with us, and made our peace with that.
On the day of the wedding, just before the wedding began, a masked photographer waved at us from the entrance of the room! Guy had managed to get into the Town Hall to capture our ceremony! Needless to say we were thrilled! The rest of the shots happened really organically inside the Town Hall and on the street. We didn't even realise he was taking pictures, that's how comfortable we were with him.
We received our photographs a few days ago and they are beautiful. Our families couldn't join us for our wedding because of COVID travel restrictions but looking at the photographs, they could follow along with the story of the day and feel the emotion. We could not have asked for more from a wedding photographer and are so thankful to him.

Helped to Make Our Special Day Even More Special...
I can't recommend Guy enough. We were looking for someone who didn't cost the price of our firstborn's soul and were first attracted to Guy's website as he offered a short wedding package of a couple of hours. Seeing that he had done previous weddings at our venue (Castell Coch) was even better.
From first contact to meeting Guy on the day, he was always really professional, responded to emails quickly and gave us the impression that nothing was too much trouble. On the day, Guy was still very professional but also really friendly, and we had a good laugh with him. I feel that Guy got the best out of us with his keen eye for great moments and clear direction for posed shots.
We have now received our photos digitally which is so easy to do and are over the moon with what he captured. I personally love black and white photos and my wife loves colour ones. There was a great mix of both and the colour photos are phenomenal. The way the colours are so vivid and, at times, how he has contrasted the light and dark are incredible.
We have loved seeing all the moments Guy captured that we weren't aware of and reliving our special day. It almost makes us want to go to the hassle of getting married all over again just so we can have more photos. Thank you, Guy, you helped to make our special day even more special.

Exactly What we Wanted to Remember Our Big Day...
Guy was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. Despite us having booked for a different date originally, Guy was extremely flexible, responsive on email and fully understanding of the difficulties of COVID-19 and our last minute rescheduling.
On the day itself, the registry office was running a tight schedule and Guy kindly took it upon himself to go and check when we could enter the building so that we didn’t have to get out of the car unnecessarily in the rain! Even with the strict rules and restrictions on movement in the ceremony, Guy still took wonderful photos, capturing natural moments and taking every opportunity to snap some unique memories.
The photos were even edited and delivered within one week of our special day(!) and were of amazing quality - exactly what we wanted to remember our big day.
Guy was also more than happy to do some specific retouching as requested by us. All in all, an excellent experience with a very professional and amicable photographer - I would definitely recommend!

GUY WAS AN ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONAL...
Guy photographed our ceremony which took place in February 2020 - we couldn't be more pleased with the photos! Guy captured our day in such a natural style and has a great eye in editing the shots to make each one the best it can be.
My partner and I are not naturals in front of the camera but Guy was able to make us feel relaxed and less self-conscious! We now have a selection of beautiful photos that we will treasure. The whole booking process was simple and Guy made sure to answer all my questions and take my requests into consideration.
On the day, Guy was an absolute professional. He was able to move around guests and the ceremony unobtrusively but provided guidance when needed, for example, composing the few group shots we requested.

The Most Incredible Set of Photos...
I am not someone who is that comfortable with being photographed, I was keen but a little anxious about having a photographer at my wedding. When I looked at Guy’s site I was filled with confidence!
He was barely noticeable at the wedding and the result is the most incredible set of photos, which are absolutely stunning. He has captured the event superbly, captured lovely shots of the kids and the adults, things I hadn’t even seen and each photos tells a story.
We are going to print each one (400 odd) because it feels like they are the whole essence of our day and then create a wall of our favourites at home.
Guy, you were brilliant on the day and your work is as amazing as I saw on your website! I can’t thank you enough.

Your Big Day Will be in Good Hands...
Guy photographed our wedding in August 2019 and did a great job. Neither of us were looking forward to getting our photos taken all day so we appreciated that he was easy to work with and made it as painless as possible.
At one point he noticed that someone had parked their car in a location that would have been in the background of the ceremony and was very decisive about tracking down the owner of the car and getting them to move it so that there wouldn't be some random car in the photos.
All in all, Guy is great and your big day will be in good hands if you choose him as your photographer.

So Passionate About What He Does...
We had a very short timescale in which to plan our wedding and had our doubts whether we would be able to find a wedding photographer. We had researched Guy’s work online on his (very helpful) website and as soon as we met Guy, we felt in safe hands and were completely comfortable with his ability to capture our big day.
Liz and I are quite camera shy but Guy was able to put us at ease and the same can be said for all of our guests who commented on how unobtrusive Guy was. We barely noticed he was there during the candid shots! During the posed shots, he had plenty of ideas and was always on the look out to use the natural scenery and grounds of De Courceys Manor to the fullest. He was also able to offer us guidance on the day itself which was wonderful – Guy is very experienced and clearly so passionate about what he does. There were so many incredible and special moments that Guy managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally – from getting ready in the morning to dancing in the evening. Finally, Guy was able to produce a 20 minute slideshow (set to music) of some of the best pictures, for which we will be forever grateful. It really tells the story of our day perfectly. We arranged everything via email and only met Guy for the first time on our wedding day. Had the Experience we Needed...
Guy is a lovely bloke who was a pleasure from start to finish. He had the experience we needed as we didn't know what to ask, and he guided us along.
Met with him a few months before and then had a couple of phone calls to confirm a few things and iron a few things out.
On the day he acted exactly as we wanted and took the photos exactly to our requests, we wanted natural photos and that's what we got. We barely noticed him aside from when he explicitly asked us to pose for photos which is great because the day is ridiculously busy regardless.
After the fact he provided us promptly with a slide show, USB with photos and lovely coffee table books all of which were excellent quality. As far as I'm concerned you couldn't do better than Guy.

Did a Fantastic Job...
Guy Milnes was the photographer at our wedding at Pencoed House in Cardiff. He did a fantastic job and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer.
The pictures were stunning - Guy has a really good eye for capturing our friends and family having a good time as well as those other special moments of our wedding day. He worked in the background, observing and waiting for the right shots, but also gently steered us and everybody else in the right direction when it was necessary.

Played a Major Part of Calming my Nerves...
My husband and I had a really short lead time leading to the wedding. Both our venues are not very well lit venues, so we wanted someone who can shoot in low light.
We came across Guy's website and were captivated by the way he uses light in his pictures, so we decided to reach out to him. Guy was super friendly and patient with our questions, and was accommodating on the scheduling and we even managed to squeeze in an engagement shoot. When we finally met him in person for the engagement shoot session, he made us feel very comfortable, and also took the time to listen to our suggestions as well. We were very impressed that he was able to give us previews from our engagement session in just ONE DAY! On the day of the wedding, we had no doubts that he was able to execute the "technical" aspect of wedding photography, but he also played a major part of calming my nerves before the wedding. It didn't feel like he was just the photographer, but he was as equally invested in the day as we were, and it really shows in the photos.

My wife and I are so glad we hired Guy Milnes for our wedding day in London, November 2017. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and has given us so many lovely photo's of our special day. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and has a manner that puts everybody at ease.

Guy photographed our wedding at Winchester House in Putney. On account of us living in Sydney, we had to research photographers online and in doing so we stumbled across Guy… we feel very lucky that we did! He was so patient when communicating with us via email and Skype in the build up and then met us for coffee once we landed in London, completely putting us at ease.

An Excellent Choice for Our Requirements...
We used Guy for a small ceremony second marriage at the end of last year. We only used him for a limited time slot (2-3 hours I think) as we were only 7 people, but in that time he got lots of really nice shots.
He worked well with my children also, getting the best out of them and the end result was both a very quick turnaround and of very high quality.
The fact that he was able to offer less than a full day meant he was an excellent choice for our requirements.

Beautifully Captured all the Precious Moments of the Day...
Guy was the photographer at our wedding in August. He beautifully captured all the precious moments of the day from so many different angles.
He was calming, professional and friendly in addition he was very good at blending into the background we hardly even noticed he was there.
Despite having to work against unpredictable weather, namely wind gusts and sudden bursts of direct sunlight, he was able to capture stunning and natural photos of us which we know must have been hard work (we are the king and queen of pulling weird faces when smiling...).
We didn't have to wait long to receive the photos, we expected at least 6 weeks, but we got them in less than half that time! Thank you, Guy, for all your hard work.

An Absolutely Wonderful Experience...
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Guy. He was very friendly throughout the photo shoot and brought us to quite a few splendid sites in London.
While he was very open to suggestions on where we wanted to have our photo shoot, being our first time in London, we decided to go with his suggestions and visited beautiful places like the London Eye, graffiti park, Trafalgar Square and St. James Park. His encouragement for us to be ourselves during the shoot and friendly demeanour created a relaxed and comfortable experience that contributed to many lovely and fun shots of us that were less staged and more natural looking.
We were very impressed with how Guy masterfully handled and manipulated the various lighting of the different places we went to, to capture many magnificently stunning shots. We had requested for a mixture of coloured and black and white shots and were blown away by his very artful black and white photographs (this is not to say any less of his coloured shots with which we were still more than satisfied with).
Guy was also very flexible with mode of delivery of the photographs (either digitally through Dropbox or mailing of a disc to our home address outside London) and generous with the number of photographs he gave us (with some further editing).
These and combined with the great experience he gave us, for the rates he offered, Guy Milnes is truly a rare find and we highly recommend his services to all who are looking to engage a deeply experienced photographer for events like pre or post wedding shoots. Thanks again for everything Guy!

Made Everyone Feel at Ease...
My girlfriend and I booked Guy for our same sex wedding in April. We had a very small informal ceremony at Camden Town Hall with just a few family members and friends, and wanted a friendly and relaxed photographer to take beautiful pictures of our day!
We met Guy a few weeks before the wedding and were really impressed by how warm and accommodating he was, and we loved his documentary style of photography.

Great Choice for Our Photographer...
Guy was perfect for our wedding day as his photography is relaxed and informal which is exactly what we wanted and was just right… we didn’t want to leave our guests for a long period of time for the photos and we didn’t have to.
Nor did we want the ‘firing squad’ line up type of photos. Guy took masses of photos but very few of them were posed. They were all amazing but particularly those of the children which were so natural and at times very funny!
We loved looking back at them after the wedding and the photos have been much admired by everyone we have showed them to.
We would definitely recommend taking up the option of having the photo book done as well. Guy was a great choice for our wedding photographer and we’d recommend him highly.

Put Me So Much at Ease...
I was drawn to Guys work because I wanted a documentary style for my wedding and I had previously looked at his website which showcased this excellently.
When I approached him he also recommended a few posed shots which would compliment this style. I was happy with this advice as I wanted a few traditional family shots but without the traditional direction which can be time consuming that usually comes with this.
On the day Guy was particularly good at dispelling my own nerves and I quickly became involved with the important job of getting married, he put me so much at ease! When direction was needed he guided people naturally and then instinctively stepped back and took the most amazing natural shots.
He was particularly good with the children, focusing on who they are and how they behave naturally at a celebration; capturing them when they are at there best rather than telling them when to say " cheese". To capture a child in any emotion with photography is like gold dust. We were so pleased to see that all of the photographs with the children in it reflected their personalities brilliantly. I believe Guy has a gift which enables children to trust him and therefore enjoy being photographed, hence such good shots!
In my opinion the photographer at any occasion should capture what is there rather than construct an experience. Guy fulfilled this completely with flair and that is why we rate him so highly.

I did a lot of research for our wedding photographer, and we found Guy he ticked all the boxes, and luckily he was free on our requested date! We had lots of good chats before the wedding so we felt very comfortable that he knew what we wanted.

When we returned from honeymoon later there was a DVD slide show to music waiting for us, so nice to come back to! Photos We Will Treasure for a Lifetime...
I would definitely recommend Guy to anyone looking for a photographer. He took our engagement photos and I had a camera shy fiancé so I was nervous with how it would all go. Thankfully, I had no reason to be nervous with Guy!
We both warmed to him immediately. He was full of ideas but also not too pushy, and he let us just do whatever felt natural, and was also honest when something didn’t work, so we could move on to something else.
We explored all the ‘touristy places’ in London, among hundreds of other tourists, but Guy’s professionalism and relaxed attitude made it both an enjoyable and rewarding experience. I had told Guy beforehand what I was after and he ensured we achieved that on the day.
